ABOUT
BOOKEND CANDLE CO
Bookend Candle Co is a one-woman business operating out of a home basement candle studio in Ypsilanti, MI. While we do not currently have a storefront, click here for further information on local pick-ups.

We offer 100% soy candles without dyes or phthalates and with cotton wicks. We stay as natural as possible without compromising quality and affordability. Each candle has been lovingly hand-poured, and each fragrance has been personally curated and blended (so please allow for small inconsistencies!). All of our oils and wax are vegan and neither we nor any of our direct vendors test on animals. We also do our best to keep our use of plastics to a minimum.
Please note the glass jars are reusable! Tag us in a photo of your candle jar's second life on Instagram. Or if you can't find any use for it, we will gladly accept your spent jars.

Please read for optimal use!
When burning a candle, you should always let the melt pool reach the edge of the container before blowing out. Depending on the size, we recommend burning for 1 to 4 hours at a time. And ALWAYS trim your wicks to ¼ inch before or after each use. They say soy wax has a memory. Burn improperly the first time, and you’re likely to have further problems.
Please burn within sight and keep away from flammable objects as well as your little ones (children and pets). Keep candle free of any foreign materials including matches and wick trimmings. And only burn the candle on a level, fire resistant surface.
